Daniel Hillel-Tuch
(copy)writer: social media campaigns, websites, books, blogs, screenplays, subheaders, to-do-lists, etc.

I’m Daniel Hillel-Tuch and I write. I do other things, too, but this page is about my writing.
I graduated from the International School of Amsterdam in 2008 and got myself a film degree from Emerson College in Boston in 2012. Since then, I’ve lived in Amsterdam and worked in advertising, film, and media. That’s how I know to include a photo of myself that’s just the right blend of pensive and artistic.
My world and preferred style of communication is English. It is through English I write stories and messages. Those can range from newsletters, to blog-posts, to short-copy and yes, even scripts. I’m also a filmmaker and performer.
Check out my work below, or you can just look for recognizable logos to see if I I’ve been vetted.
“I don’t have anything particular important to say here, but needed something to break up the visuals on my website.” – Daniel Hillel-Tuch

NEWCRAFT GROUP
Newcraft does things differently, and that needed to be reflected in their copy. I was brought in to avoid that usual marketing lingo and whatnot and ensure that even though they are data driven, they’re human run. Read the rest of the website to get the full picture.

UNDER ARMOUR
GOING DARK
As a freelancer at DigitasLBi I had the exciting task of writing social media copy for Under Armour. This included writing in their hardcore and motivational tone of voice as well as in the language of their athletes.
The concept? Under Armour athletes would “Go Dark” on social media so as to focus on their training. Once back “in the light” they would reveal their hard work on their social accounts. While ‘dark,’ I also wrote the copy for their campaign photography. The irony was not lost on me.
Check out the full case study here.
Product Launch
Sensi Seeds
Even Amsterdam’s oldest cannabis seed company needs copy. An example of some of the work I performed for Sensi Seeds includes copy for new seed launches, twitter posts, press releases, newsletters, and banner ads.
Product Descriptions/Campaign Copy
Protest Sportswear
Despite not being much of an athlete, nor particularly involved in winter sports—though I enjoy the occasional ski trip—Protest Sportswear believed I could write for them. This included commercial product descriptions, seasonal collection descriptions, press releases, and support in the development of their video and photo production.
Website
Trainbooking.com
Trainbooking.com was founded in 2016 as a new international venture of NS, the Dutch railway company. The site was designed to accommodate the increasing number of international travelers.
Based on input and information from NS researchers, I wrote all the content found on the website in a clear, informative, and accessible style.
As of 2021 the site no longer exists, so click through the imagery to see my work.
Social Media Campaign
Under Armour Healthbox
I was brought back to work on the campaign for the Under Armour Healthbox (RIP), a fitness tracking system. Through provided research, I wrote short inspirational copy that focused on the four elements the system assisted: Activity, Nutrition, Fitness, and Sleep.
Book Chapter
Black Jaguar Foundation Protest Sportswear
While working as a film editor at Cinemeta, I had the good fortune of meeting Ben Valks. Ben has lived a life full of adventure, dog sledding, motorcycle riding, and jungle exploration. He put those stories to words in his book “No Risk, No Life.” Cinemeta has kindly sponsored an office space for Ben Valks to run his Black Jaguar Foundation, an ambitious and admirable rainforest reforestation project. Together with Ben, I wrote an additional chapter for the English edition of the book, “My next dream: The Black Jaguar Foundation.”
Social Media
Heineken
You live in Amsterdam long enough, and work in advertising, eventually you’ll do something for Heineken. In my case I helped out on a few social media posts during the Formula-E as well as an Academy Award piece. (I also have hosted the Heineken Commerce Week twice, but that’s a different story).
